Listen up boo's!!!
It has been reported by the Australian Childhood foundation that an alarming one in six children in our schools are being bullied on a daily basis.
Whilst here at Bellaboo we are working on tackling the blunders of Role Models or perhpas lack there of, talk back radio station 2GB along with non profit organisation School Aid, are right on the case about bullies.
Together they have initiated a competition called '2GB School Aid Angels' where primary and secondary schools are called to get involved behind one mission statement 'Kids helping Kids', which forces kids to standup and feel empowered when they are bullied in social and learning environments.
School Aid CEO Julie Urquhart says, “The 2GB School Aid Angels campaign is very much about a continuation of our 'Kids helping Kids' premise. We want kids to have a voice in the issue around bullying and violence in schools and for kids to be helping kids in respect to the solution and addressing the issue. What better extension than combining with 2GB/MRN so that kids can truly be given a voice by having the opportunity to have their commercials read out and recorded.”
If you would like to get involved, you can enter by following the details below. At BB we are raving about this worthy cause and would love to see our boo's all inspired and behind the campaign.
Be sure to let us know if you are interested in entering. Please note that entries close this Friday 14th NOV, so get recording!!!
