The Last Virgin In Year 10 by Roseanne
Hawke
This is about a teenage girl, named Caz, living in Australia, who
struggles to be herself. She wants to be popular but she doesn’t like
the same music everyone else does. She doesn’t have the same clothes
and she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Well, she has never really had one.
Problem is she can’t tell anyone as her popularity status will go
down the drain. What's the point if you don't fit in?
I liked this book as it is suitable
for all readers. I give it 3/5 |

Startled By His Furry Shorts by Louise
Rennison
Imagine this: your whole family is a bunch of weirdos and your lover
boy doesn’t even know you exist? Well, that’s Georgie Nickleson’s
life. This very funny, diary-style book for teens has a life and style
of its own, including an entire vocabulary I was unaware of. Descriptions
of her adventures will make all Australian readers laugh.
This book is a teens-for-teens book
and is a great read for girls 4/5 |

Mira Falling by Maria Arena
Mira dreams of being a star, but Mira's dreams are overshadowed by
the sporting accomplishments of her brother Jack, the town's golden
boy. Things start to overturn when her new next door neighbours move
in with a very cute boy. However, she starts to get some threatening
emails, either from the cute boy’s sister or her own brother. Mira
won't let anything get in her way - but what are the consequences
of stopping at nothing to achieve your dreams?. I liked this book
as it is full of adventure and mystery.
Probably suited for older teens 4/5

32C That’s Me by Chris Higgins
Jess has it all - smart parents, nice life, gorgeous boyfriend and
best friend Ali who is always there for her. Then her mum is diagnosed
with breast cancer and Jess's world is turned upside down and no-one
seems to understand. Everyone she thought she could rely on is not
really there for her. Jess soon starts to realise that maybe having
it all isn't what really matters and maybe the people you thought
you could depend on aren't the ones to trust.
I enjoyed this book as it was a heart-warming
story 5/5 |
