Air Kisses
by Zoe Foster
Zoe Foster the author of the delightful and hilarious book Air
Kisses has written this compelling and larger than life book
on the do's or dies of relationships both at work and at home. Zoe's
personal experience as a beauty editor at a string of Australia's
leading magazines including Harpers Bazaar and Cosmopolitan
make this book all the more real and interesting.
Hannah Atkins has bluffed her way to the position of beauty editor at Gloss magazine. Just as she is getting into the gist of endless pr campaigns, freebies and meeting strange and out of the ordinary personalities she finds out that her boyfriend was reported seeing another girl on the gossip pages of the local paper, shortly followed by a text that if not more painfully highlighted that she had been dumped.
Picking herself up almost instantly, trying profusely to rise above her awkward and reputation tainting situation, Hannah immersed herself in a list of constructed rules that make up the story line of the book. While each chapter is highlighted by a new and innovative beauty tip further titled by an expression and cause for emotion, you cant help but empathise with this girl who could quite honestly be you in a rough time.
If you are after a glamour-filled book that represents the modern woman in a reality of first impressions, pain staking pr campaigns without an ounce of rountine, then Air Kisses is the perfect read. At BB HQ we found it hard to put this one down which is extremely refreshing. Zoe Foster is one talented writer and outlandish character.
